Configuring Single Sign-On Using ADFS 2.0

Single Sign-On with ADFS 2.0 can be configured using Federated SSO and Delegated SSO.

Before you start with configuring ADFS and Salesforce for Single Sign-in below prerequisites are required.

Prerequisites

• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise or Datacenter Edition should be installed. Newer versions of Windows can also be utilized but are currently beyond the scope of this document.
• Create a friendly DNS name for ADFS 2.0 and point it to your ADFS server.
• Download and install ADFS 2.0. This will automatically install other pre-requisite Windows components such as IIS. In the IIS manager create an SSL certificate for your friendly DNS name.
