Patch History report


The Patch History Report displays the database name and type on which a patching activity was performed. It also shows the details of the patching activity.

This topic lists the prompts and columns available in the Patch History report.

Report prompts

The following prompts apply to this report:

Prompt

Description

Manager Hostname

The names of servers hosting the BMC Database Automation Manager in your environment that you want included in your report

Job Type (Apply/Rollback)

The BMC Database Automation job types that you want included in your report

Database Name

The names of databases in your environment that you want included in your report

Database Type

The types of databases in your environment that you want included in your report

Report columns

The Patch History report shows the following information:

Column

Description

Filters

Displays the filters applied to the report

Note: Due to a limitation of the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform, the summary of filters applied to the report displays the prompt values selected at the time the report was run. Report filters applied explicitly on the report are not displayed in this summary.

Database Name

Displays the name of the database that was patched as part of the patching activity

Database Type

Displays the type of the database that was patched as part of the patching activity

Activity

Displays the patching activity that was performed on the database

End Time

Displays the time the patching activity was completed

Total Events Shown

Displays the total number of events shown in the report

Note

In the report, the entries for the Database Name and Database Type columns for those patching activities where the database was deleted from the BMC Database Automation inventory after the patching activity was performed are displayed as a dash (-). This is due to a defect, DRO06-4486 in BMC Database Automation.
