Verifying and configuring the URGMapper.properties file

 This task is not required for version 8.9.02 and later of BMC Decision Support – Database Automation.

Based on BusinessObjects BI Platform license type, you need to verify the URGMapper.properties file. The URG Mapper task uses the license type information to create users. To create users, the license type specified in the URGMapper.properties file and the license type supported by the BusinessObjects BI Platform must match.

Note

By default, the BusinessObjects BI Platform license provided by BMC supports only Named user license type.

To check the license type supported by the BusinessObjects BI Platform on the reporting server

  1. Open the BusinessObjects Central Management Console.
  2. Click License Keys.
  3. Check the user license type.

To configure the URGMapper.properties file

  1. Open the URGMapper.properties file located in the BDSInstallationDirectory\bin\bda\bi directory on the BusinessObjects server.
  2. Depending on the user license type identified in step 3, perform one of the following steps:

    • If the user license type is Named, set the target.bo_server.userType property to NAMED as follows:

      target.bo_server.userType=NAMED

    • If the user license type is Concurrent, set the target.bo_server.userType property to CONCURRENT as follows:

      target.bo_server.userType=CONCURRENT
