Exporting reports

This topic provides instructions for exporting a report to a spreadsheet (Microsoft Excel or comma-separated values (CSV)) or to PDF format.

To export a report

  1. View a report as described in Viewing-reports.
  2. Click Export Export.png.
  3. Use one of the following options:
    • PDF: Select Export Current Report As > PDF
    • Excel: Select Export Current Report As > Excel

      Warning

      Note

Due to a limitation in the BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform, the report
name is not shown in the exported Excel file. Reports exported to Excel only contain the body of the report, excluding the headers and footers.

Exporting an Excel file larger than 10 MB can cause some browsers to stop responding. As a workaround for this issue, you can apply additional filters to the report to reduce the size of the Excel file.

    • CSV: Select Export Data to CSV

In the dialog that appears, specify the values for creating the CSV file and click OK.
  4. A dialog displays, instructing you to select whether you want to Open or Save the exported file.
    • If you select Open, the exported file is opened in the associated application on your computer.
    • If you select Save, a directory navigation window appears.
      1. Navigate to the location in which you want to save the file and click Save.
      2. The next dialog prompts you to specify if you want to open the file, open the folder in which the file was stored, or close the dialog. Make your selection to complete the process.
