This section of the report includes:

A VSAM extend failure generates an IEC070I error and does not necessarily cause a job to end. The SMFX37A report considers a VSAM failure will primarily occur in a long-running task, such as CICS, DB2, and IMS. Therefore, the CPU and elapsed time for the job encountering a VSAM failure are not considered in quantifying the COMPUTER TIME COST in the report. VSAM failures are only included in the PERSONNEL TIME and PERSONNEL COST totals.
