Using remote RSS servers

Often, the RACF database is shared between multiple systems in a sysplex or possibly shared between different sysplex systems via RRSF links. In these cases, only one RSS instance needs to be running within the sysplex or RRSF group.

When there is more than one group (or "cluster") of LPARs, and therefore more than one RACF database, you can use RSS to replicate commands across secure, encrypted connections to one or more of these clusters, regardless of whether they are in the same or in a different sysplex.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
