Overview of UIE
UIE uses this data to create:
- XML files that you can process with the BMC Performance Predictor for Mainframes (Performance Predictor) component on a Windows system. You can evaluate the XML file data on the Windows system to create performance models for your systems. (For details of the task flow, see Task-flow-from-UIE-to-BMC-Performance-Predictor-for-Mainframes-and-Visualizer)
Capacity Data Files (VIS Files) that you can populate into the Capacity Database (CDB), which can be used to provide costing metrics for BMC AMI Cost Management (formerly known as BMC Cost Analyzer for zEnterprise), performance metrics for BMC Continuous Optimization for Mainframes, performance metrics for Workflows in the BMC AMI Capacity Reporting, and produce Visualizer graphs. For more information about Visualizer graphs, see the Visualizer documentation and the Visualizer online Help.
