Monitoring component availability options


This topic describes the options available in BMC AMI Ops Monitor for IP to monitor component availability.

Action

TCP/IP monitor

Allows you to monitor the status and activity of your TCP/IP stacks. For more information, see Description of TCP/IP monitor views

Availability monitor

Allows you to establish and monitor critical resources, such as applications, devices, links, ports, and other resources. For more information, see Using-availability-monitor.

Availability ping

Allows you to automatically ping an IP network device to determine its availability and provide device response times. For information, see Using-availability-ping.
