To perform a data trace by using a line command
- From the EZIP menu, select CONNECTIONS from the TCP/IP Activity section.
- From the EZCONS menu, select one of the following types of connections from the CONNECTIONS section and then press ENTER:
- All
- Listen
- Active
- TCP
- UDP
- TN3270
- SMC
- In the COMMAND field, type DAT, and then press Enter.The Start Data Trace pop-up window is displayed, showing details of the specific connection.
- Type any additional information that you want in this window, such as an identifier for the packet trace in the Trace Identifier field.
Press F3 or type END to start the data trace.The DATTRACE view is displayed so you can verify that the trace has been activated. ACTIVE is displayed in the Trace Status field.
Other status types include:
- STOP/NWRAP indicates that the packet trace has been stopped because the trace table has wrapped, and you specified no wrap for packet trace (Pkttrace Wrap).
- Press F3 to return to the CONNECTIONS view.
