Monitoring IBM Sterling Connect:Direct data

The BMC AMI Ops Monitor for IP supports the IBM Sterling Connect:Direct product to monitor the following data:

  • Connect:Direct resources—The PAS discovers all Connect:Direct resources and displays them on the CDRESC view with their current status and the NETMAP and Primary Node (which is used to make CDAPI calls).
  • File transfer statistics—The PAS monitors Connect:Direct file transfers by implementing a statistics exit (TACCDSTX), which you must configure in the INIT parameters for Connect:Direct (STATISTICS.EXIT). The CDSTATS and CDSTATSD views display file transfer information.
  • Transmission queue and processes—The PAS displays processes on the transmission queues and allows actions on the transmission queues, such as Flush, Suspend, Delete, and Hold a process.

You can use the AMON view to define CDQ (Connect:Direct Queue) resources to monitor a transmission queue or status. For more information, see Configuring-availability-monitoring.

Before you begin

The Connect:Direct (EZCD) view on the EZ menu displays Connect:Direct data (for example, file transfers, transmission queues, configuration). You can hyperlink to the EZCD view from the EZIP menu.
