Configuring TN3270 network and host response time collection

BMC AMI Ops Monitor for IPcollects TN3270 performance data from the IBM NMI and real-time response time data on all active TN3270 TCP connections. This topic describes how to configure TN3270-related data collection.

Important

The TNCONS view provides the real-time response time data.

To configure TN3270 network and host response time collection

  1. From the Utilities section of the EZIP menu, select Product Administration (EZADMIN) and press Enter.
  2. From the EZADMIN menu, select MVIP Config Settings (MVIPCNFD) and press Enter.
  3. (BMC.AMIOPS.SPE2401)Navigate to the MVIPCNFD view and change the value of the TN3270 Resp Times from OFF to ON.
