Analyzing traffic patterns using Traffic Analyzer
You can use Traffic Analyzer to analyze the following:
- Interfaces
- Ports
- Address spaces
- IP addresses
- Next Hop Addresses
- Protocols
To analyze traffic patterns
- From the Diagnostics section of the EZIP menu, select Traffic Analyzer (TRFDIAG) and press Enter.
- On the TRFDIAG view, use the STA command to start the Traffic Analyzer.
- On the Start Traffic Analyzer panel, specify the necessary information. For field help, press F1.
- Use the END command to start the trace.
- Use the STO command to stop the Traffic Analyzer entry.
After analyzing, you can view the traffic by Local Port, Remote Port, Jobname, Interface, Remote IP address, Protocol, or Next Hop Address. Each view sorts the entries by the biggest user. You can also use the Display action to display the top three for each category.
Use the following commands to view the traffic entries:

DIF | Displays the TRFINTF view that shows the entries by Interface |
DIP | Displays the TRFIPAD view that shows the entries by Remote IP Address |
DPR | Displays the TRFPROT view that shows the entries by Protocol |
DNH | Displays the TRFNHOP view that shows the entries by Next Hop Address |
