Customizing Alternate Access

Alternate Accessis configured during installation. For more information, see Installation System. You can also manually configure Alternate Access by using the information in Manually configuring Alternate Access.
After configuration is complete, perform the following steps to customize Alternate Access:
- Verify the BBV load modules and PTF maintenance levels (see Verifying your BBV load modules)
- Define other initialization parameter list members (see Defining other LAS and TAS initialization parameter lists)
- Understand TAS initialization parameters (see Understanding TAS initialization parameters)
- Understand LAS initialization parameters (see Understanding LAS initialization parameters)
- Verify your VTAM configuration (see Verifying-your-VTAM-configuration)
- Configure security for Alternate Access sessions (required for some ESMs). (See Manually configuring Alternate Access)
- Move Alternate Access components from a test environment to a production environment (see Migrating from a test to a production environment)
