On the Saved Configurations page, you can create and manage backups of configuration information for the various types of servers used in an operational BMC AMI Ops Console Management system. You can download and upload these backups from your desktop computer.
If you need to replace your BMC AMI Ops Console Management system because of hardware failure, you must also make any changes or perform a test on your BMC AMI Ops Console Management configuration to facilitate restoring operations. In such scenarios, we strongly recommend that you use the Saved Configurations feature.
The following table describes the UI features on the Saved Configurations page:
Feature | Description |
|---|---|
Upload Configuration File | Upload a backup file previously downloaded on your PC back to the system. After the upload is complete, it appears in the list of available backups. Click the Attach file button to locate the backup file and upload it to the system. |
+ New Configuration File | Enter a backup name and description to list the server configurations included in the backup. Click Create to create the backup or Close if you do not want to create the backup. |
The following table describes the fields in the Actions column:
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Download | Downloads a .zip file to your PC containing the backup. |
Delete | Deletes the backup. You are prompted to confirm your decision before the backup is deleted. |
Restore | Replaces the current configuration with that stored in the backup. You are prompted to confirm your decision before the backup is restored. The restore process automatically creates a backup of the current configuration so that you can undo a restore if necessary. |
