Upgrading

You can upgrade CCS to obtain the latest CCS components. With these patches, you can update CCS without requiring a complete installation.

  1. Download the EMS-CCS-<CCS Version> -1.noarch.bin file from the patches page on EPD.
  2. Copy the file to your server.
  3. On your server, you must be logged in as root and run the following commands (replace <CCS Version> with the actual version and architecture with x86_64 or s390x as appropriate):
    • rpm -e --nodeps EMS-CCS
    • chmod a+x EMS-CCS-<CCS Version>-1nn.<architecture>.bin
    • ./EMS-CCS-<CCS Version>-1nn.<architecture>.bin

For example, the following upgrades CCS to version 8.0.5 for the Intel platform:
      # rpm -e --nodeps EMS-CCS
      # chmod a+x EMS-CCS-8.0.5-142.x86_64.bin
      # ./EMS-CCS-8.0.5-141.x86_64.bin

      For zLinux architecture:
      # rpm -e --nodeps EMS-CCS
      # chmod a+x EMS-CCS-8.0.5-142.s390x.bin
      # ./EMS-CCS-8.0.5-141.s390x.bin

  4. Once the upgrades are complete, reboot the server to ensure all system processes restart properly.
