Accessing another BMC AMI Ops product from BMC AMI Ops Automation (product line transfers)


You can display and access some products applications from other applications with product line transfers. Use product line transfer commands to access another BMC product line you have installed without exiting from your current product application session.

To access another product

Enter a valid product line transfer name on the COMMAND line.Valid product line transfer names are as follows:

You can transfer from the CICS SYSTEM STATUS panel to the BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Db2 Analyzer Service -- BFRPL (Buffer Pool) as shown in the following figure.

You can also transfer from the ALERT DETAIL panel to the SYSTEM STATUS panel of the BMC AMI Ops Automation for z/OS option by typing the command shown in the following figure:

To return to the ALERT DETAIL panel, use one of the following methods:

  • Press the F3/END key until you return.
  • Enter INIT on the COMMAND line of the SYSTEM STATUS panel and press Enter to return to the BMC AMI OpsA Primary Option Menu.
  • Enter RETURN on the COMMAND line of the SYSTEM STATUS panel and press Enter to return to the BMC AMI Ops Automation for z/OS Primary Option Menu.
  • Enter RETURN a second time to display the BMC AMI OpsA Primary Option Menu.

To return to the initial product line

Type either of the following commands on the COMMAND line:


Command

Description

INIT

Returns to the initial menu displayed when the TS was invoked

RETURN

Returns to the Primary Option Menu of the application most currently displayed

The INIT and RETURN commands are discussed in Exiting-from-product-and-application-transfers-using-INIT-and-RETURN. These commands can also be assigned to PF keys (see Using-program-function-PF-key-definitions-in-BMC-AMI-Ops-Automation).
