Updating the TSOM console
To update the TrueSight console
From the Actions menu, select Console actions > Update console.
The Update TSOM Console dialog is displayed.
To update the web started Impact Explorer or TSOM operator console, you need to modify the localactions.jar.
- From the Choose web update list, select from the following options:
Update jar updates the files in the jar, but retains modifications to the jar files that have been made by any user.
- Replace jar replaces the files in the jar. Any modifications to the jar files are overwritten and cannot be retrieved. If you select this option, skip to Step 6.
- From the Choose signature list, select from the following options:
- Sign jar with customized values uses default values for the Key store information area or lets you enter values in the Key store information area by using your company's key store and key. BMC recommends this option. area on the console.
- Sign jar with default values uses default values for the Key store information and Certificate information areas. You can edit the values and save them for future use.
- Sign jar later postpones the signature, but you will need to sign this jar at a later time.
In the Key store information section, complete the fields based on the following table:

Key store path file
Enter the key store path or use the Browse button to find the path.
Key store password
Enter the key store password.
Key generation
Create a new key or use an existing key:
- Use existing key uses an existing key to sign the jar.
- Generate a new key generates a new key to sign the jar.
Key name
Enter the key name or alias.
Key password
Enter the key password.
- (optional) If you selected Sign jar with default values, complete the Certificate information area.
The certificate of this jar signature presents all of the information that you provide. - When finished, click Execute.
