Step 11. Enter zFS target data set information

The screen shown in the following figure is displayed after you press Enter the last time in Step-10-Specify-target-and-distribution-zone-information and only when installing a BMC AMI product that requires a zFS Target File (currently only when installing Enterprise Common Components).

zFS file information for BMC AMI Enterprise Common Components
Enter zFS path prefix:  /usr/lpp
Enter zFS File System Dataset Name:  CPWR.CX17.LDS
  1. Enter the zFS path prefix for each product displayed on the screen. Default is /usr/lpp.
  2. Enter the zFS file system data set for each product displayed on the screen. For example, for BMC AMI Enterprise Common Components, it is the BMC AMI DevX Total Test z/OS Agent z/FS file. Default is cpwr.CX17.LDS.
    Each zFS path prefix will be used to construct the product specific zFS files in the generate JCL to support the zFS target data sets for that product.
    Each zFS file system data set will be used in the generate JCL to create the file as well as setting up the mount to the z/OS UNIX file system hierarchy. Each zFS file system data set stores the files and directories needed to support the zFS target data sets for that product.

  3. Press Enter.

    Important

    • When zFS Target Files are required the USERID that submits the JCL contained in member $02ALDSN must have SUPERUSER authority for the job to run successfully.
    • Add the mount statements from the $02ALDSN job to your current BMC AMI DevX Total Test z/OS Agent PARMLIB BPXPRMxx member to keep the product zFS File System permanently mounted, for example if using the default from Enter zFS target data set information:
