Browse (a Set Log)

This functionality is used to browse the set log when the set is executing. The log is created when a set starts processing for the first time. The log includes information to help determine why a set may not have completed.

To browse a set log

Do one of the following:

  • From the Approvals view, right-click an entry and select Modify Set>Browse.
  • From the Containers view, right-click one or more sets and select Browse.
  • From the Tasks view, Assignment view, or Release view, right-click a task and select Modify Set>Browse.
  • From the Set view, click BrowseFromSet.PNG or right-click a task and select Modify Set>Browse or, from the properties table, click the link for the set log.

Note: Modify Set only appears if the task is associated with the set, such as when the action being processed (generate, promote, and so on) doesn't complete. Further, only the applicable actions appear in the submenu.

If only one set was selected, the selected set log is opened in browse mode. If, however, the set could not be browsed, a message appears showing the reason for the failure.

If multiple sets were selected, the Browse Set Results dialog box appears showing the reasons for the failures if any could not be opened in browse mode. Click OK. The remaining set logs are opened in browse mode.
