Data Disguise in File-AID/RDX
Data Privacy can be applied during the extract process or it can be applied to an existing extract file.
Imbedded privacy rules are defined by creating a Disguise Control file and Disguise Criteria file containing disguise criteria for each object.
When defining an extract, you can request that the extract file be disguised using either DCF (imbedded privacy rules) or DPR (dynamic privacy rules). Select option 5 Data Privacy from the File-AID/RDX Primary Option Menu to disguise an existing extract file.
File-AID/RDX extracts data based on relationship information. The integrity of the related thread is maintained during disguise. Any field that is part of the related thread gets the same disguise rule/value even if it is not defined by any source data identifier within data privacy. The relationship information supplements the identification from dynamic data privacy. If some column in the related thread is not identified by the source data identifiers within dynamic data privacy, that column is disguised with the same value as the rest of the thread. If there are conflicting source data identifiers between the fields in the related thread, an error is detected and the disguise job fails.
After the privacy rules have been created and the project is complete, File-AID/RDX can point to the associated repository and project and disguise the desired data.
When dynamic privacy rules are requested you must select the repository and project to be used as the source of the disguise rules. Continue with the definition as required by File-AID/RDX; for additional usage information, see File-AID/RDX documentation.
File-AID/RDX must be properly configured during installation to provide the definitions needed for Data Privacy. For more information, see the File-AID Single Install Image Installation and Configuration Guide.
