? | HELP

Requests the command syntax from HELP.

ANALYZERS(nn)

Is the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators that will be started per 100 jobs currently in the analysis queue excluding the first 100 jobs.

AN is a short form for this keyword.

  • nn - Is a number in the range 0 to 99.
    If the value of ANALYZERS is 0 and the value of MINANAL is also 0, no dynamic Job Analyzer initiators will be started.
    The number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators that will be started for the first 100 jobs in the analysis queue is the value of MINANAL.
     If the value of MINANAL is 0, then the value specified for ANALYZERS is the number of analyzers started for the first 100 jobs.
DISPLAY

Displays information about the dynamic initiators. This is the default.

D is a short form for this keyword.

MAXANAL(nnnnn)

Is the maximum number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators that will be started.

MAX is the shortest form of this keyword.

  • nnnnn - Is a number in the range 0 to 32767.
    If the value of MAXANAL is 0 then the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators is unlimited.
    If the value of ANALYZERS is reset to 0 then the value of MAXANAL is forced to 0 - because the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators cannot increase.
MINANAL(nnnnn)

Is the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators that will be started for the first 100 jobs currently in the analysis queue.

MIN is the shortest form of this keyword.

  • nnnnn - Is a number in the range 0 to 32767.
    If the value of ANALYSERS is 0 then the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators is fixed at the value of MINANAL - because the number of dynamic Job  Analyzer initiators cannot increase.
    If the value of MINANAL is 0 then the number of dynamic Job Analyzer initiators that will be started for the first 100 jobs in the analysis queue is the value of ANALYZERS.
    A non 0 value of MAXANAL must exceed the value of MINANAL by at least the value of ANALYZERS.
RECYCLEJOBS(nnnn)

Is the dynamic initiator recycle job count.

RECYCLEJ is a short form for this keyword.

  • nnnn - Is a number in the range 1 to 9999.
RECYCLETIME(nn)

Is the dynamic initiator recycle time, expressed in hours.

RECYCLET is a short form for this keyword.

  • nn - Is a number in the range 1 to 99.

Examples:

/TM INITS DISPLAY

This command requests a display of the status of dynamic initiators, and results in a display resembling the following:

DTM8142I TM INITIATOR INFORMATION
   ANALYZERS=nn MIN=nnn MAX=nnn
   RECYCLETIME=nn
   RECYCLEJOBS=nnnn
   MAXIMUM=nnnn
    SLM MAXIMUM=nnnn
   STARTED=nnnn
   HALTED=nnnn
   DRAINED=nnnn
Initiator Busy    < History of deployed initiators >
--Type-- Now      Now  5Min 10Min 20Min 30Min 1Hour
Common    nnnn    nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn
Analyzers nnnn    nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn
ON_DEMAND nnnn    nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn  nnnn

The history portion of this display is a snapshot, showing the number of dynamic initiators of each type that were deployed at 5, 10, 20, 30 and 60 minutes ago.

Warning

Note

ThruPut Manager recycles its dynamic initiators based on whichever of the RECYCLEJOBS or RECYCLETIME limits occurs first. Recycling resets both limits. Recycling is performed to minimize system pollution.
