File-AID/Data Solutions parameters

The following figure is displayed when you select Option 3, Parms, from the Data Disguise Menu.

Disguise criteria are created by File-AID/Data Solutions and used by File-AID for IMS.

Use this screen to specify information required by File-AID/Data Solutions to create and apply disguise criteria.

Warning

Important

It is highly recommended you use separate criteria files for disguise criteria created through the File-AID for IMS interface and name them in such a way as to recognize them easily. As the layout information for the File-AID for IMS extract object may be different from the information you would provide with the stand-alone File-AID/Data Solutions the disguise process will not produce interchangeable results.

Disguise Criteria File

Specify the Disguise Criteria File Name. Disguise criteria created by File-AID/Data Solutions will be stored in this file. The file must be a VB 300 PDS or PDSE. Use Option 5 “Allocate Disguise Criteria File” from the Data Disguise Menu to create a new file. Do not use the same criteria file you use for non-IMS objects. The name of Disguise Criteria File is required.

Business rules or field exits dataset

Specify the name of the Business Rules dataset if it will be required by any of the criteria created. The Business Rules dataset is used by aging criteria to identify which days are holidays. See the File-AID/Data Solutions documentation for more details on the Business dataset. This data set is used when the disguise criteria are applied.
