RUNSTATS

The RUNSTATS utility collects statistics about the data distribution of the specified Db2 objects. Valid objects include combinations of tables, tablespaces, and indexes. The Db2 optimizer uses catalog statistics to determine the most efficient access path. Updated catalog statistics help you reorganize a tablespace or index, or analyze a database's design.
