To view the approval table
The Approval table lists change set data and their status. Approvers use this table to examine and approve or deny or reset approval for a data set. Change packages are changes waiting to be signed off by an approver (as defined in Code Pipeline ).
- In the command palette, start typing Workbench Code Pipeline in the command palette and select DevX Code Pipeline: Show Approvals command from the list. The Approvals page is displayed with the details of the set data in the following columns. You can show and hides these columns by clicking the Visible columns option.
You can see the following fields.- Set ID: Displays the set data ID.
- Description: Displays the description of the set ID.
- Release: A unique release identifier that may be user-specified or system generated.
Owner:
- The user who performed the checkout of the component.
- For an assignment or release, the user who created or currently owns the container.
- For a set, the user who has or will initiate the task operation in an assignment or release for processing.
- The user who initiated the task operation in an assignment that requires approval to proceed.
- Defaults to the logged-in user
- Approver: Displays the approver's name
- Approval status: Displays the approval status of the set. May be unknown (set is not locked), required, not required, approved, or denied.
- Execution Status: Displays the execution status, which is the current phase of execution for the set, such as release, held, or failed
- Stream: Displays the stream information.
- Application: Displays the application information
- SubAppl: The SubApplication is defined under an application, this field provides you the option to further break down your applications to have greater granularity in your application definitions, such as:
- When you run processing for several customers, the same software but different versions. Here, you can use SubApplication for each customer.
- When you put out distinct releases of your software. Here, you can create SubApplications for each version, then maintain them under the distinct version going forward.
- Click the hyperlink in the Set ID column for the task for which you want to view task information. You can approve or deny the task. You can add a note to the task which is in the pending for approval state. For more information on adding a note to a task, see To-add-note-for-task.
