Record Test Scenarios from Code Debug
When debugging a COBOL Batch or CICS Program using the
Code Debug, Total Test provides a context menu (
Record Test Case...) to automatically generate test case(s) from the debugging session for Non-virtualized test and/or Virtualized Test. The Total Test (Non-virtualized Test) scenarios are only created if the Total Test Repository exists for your installation and its URL has been set in Window > Preferences > BMC > Total Test > Repository Server.
Record Test Case eliminates creating the following elements manually:
- Non-virtualized test:
- Test Scenario
- Virtualized Test:
- Interface
- Structures
- Test Scenario
- Test Case
- Stubs (optional)
- Suite (optional)

You can start the recording of a test case in 2 ways:
