Viewing MQ Results

Before you can view your search results, you must create and submit a search request. Then you can view the search results by selecting the desired results from the tree view.

To View Results:

  1. Expand Results on the tree view. Folders will appear for each search rule that has been submitted for execution and has finished processing. If you run the same report more than once, it will appear multiple times in the Rule folder. Each time it is run, it is listed by timestamp.
  2. Expand the desired Results Rule folder and double-click on the desired results (listed by timestamp). This will open the Criteria tab of the selected results in the right portion of the workbench and list the connections for these results in the tree view.
  3. Double-click on a Connection in the tree view. Under each Connection folder is a list of MQPUTs or MQGETs for that connection.
  4. Click on an MQGET or MQPUT. The selected MQGET or MQPUT will appear in the right portion of the window. MQGET and MQPUT icons with a check mark indicate that information on the screen matches the search criteria. An icon without the check mark indicates that there were no hits for that MQGET or MQPUT.
  5. In the tree view, click on the Connection again to make the Message Log tab available.
  6. Click the Message Log tab to view messages for this report.
