Defining Baseline Data for a New Compare Specification

This topic gives the high-level steps for creating a new compare specification. The links below give details on specific connector types.

To define baseline data for a new compare specification

  1. From the ComparePro dialog box, select the type of comparison to be created. The connection wizard for the selected compare type appears.
  2. Complete the connector information. Depending on the type of connector your select, the Table/View Selection or Record Layout Selection dialog box appears.
  3. Enter the table/view or record layout information. This may take more than one dialog box to complete.
  4. Click Finish. The Baseline tab populates with the connection information that was entered.
  5. Click Next. The Test tab is activated. See Defining-Test-Data-for-a-New-Compare-Specification to continue.
