BMC Database Director for IMS Examples
This topic contains two examples for pattern data set names for BMC Database Director for IMS.
The examples show:
- The name of database with a subscripted user defined constant
- The name of the data set being used as a qualifier
- The name of the database name being used in more than one qualifier
- The system information being used in a qualifier
- The name of the database data sets in a qualifier
- Characteristics-and-Example-Subscripted-User-Defined-Constant In the following example, you want two create copies of the NSXDBD4P database with these two names.
- Description-of-the-Values-Subscripted-User-Defined-Constant The table provides a description for the variables and values in the example.
- Characteristics-and-Example-Name-of-a-Data-Set In the following example, the name you want to use is CSD.AI38.NSXDBD4P.NSXDS1P.T1304.IC1. You specify the following pattern.
- Description-of-the-Values-Name-of-a-Data-Set The table provides a description for the variables and values in the example.
- Characteristics-and-Example-Database-Name-in-More-Than-One-Qualifier In the following example, the name you want to use is BMC.BMCHDDB.DT021004.TM135657.IC1. You specify the following pattern.
- Description-of-the-Values-Database-Name-in-More-Than-One-Qualifier The table provides a description for the variables and values in the example.
- Characteristics-and-Example-System-Information In the following example, the name you want to use is IMSA.DT021004.TM135657.RENAME. You specify the following pattern.

- Characteristics-and-Example-Name-of-the-Database-Data-Sets In the following example, the name that you want to use is NSL.DDAHODB.UL. You specify the following pattern.
