Getting help
DI+ provides a series of panels that provide further information about panels, fields, and commands.
You can access these panels at any time by entering the HELP command (F1). You can also view the panels sequentially as a tutorial by selecting option T from any of the control block option menus. DI+ displays the help panel that is most closely associated with the current panel.
The DI+ help facility follows the standard conventions for ISPF tutorials. The following table shows some of these conventions.
Function keys and commands within the help facility
Key | Command | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
Enter | NA | Display the next page about the current topic. |
F1 | Help | Display information about using the help panels. |
F3 | End | Return to panel from which you entered the HELP command. |
F7 | Up | Display a higher level list of topics in the tutorial. |
F8 | Skip, S, or Down | Display the next topic in the tutorial. |
F11 | Right | Display the next page about the current topic. |
F10 | Back, B, or Left | Display the previous page about the current topic. |
| TOC or T | Display the Table of Contents for the tutorial. |
If you enter the HELP command in response to a dialog message, DI+ displays the long text of the message, which typically provides a more in-depth explanation of the problem. If you enter the HELP command again, DI+ displays the help panel for the current panel.
