Specifying PRESELECT control statements
Use the PRESELECT control statement (or the PRES abbreviation) to specify the log record sources to use as input and general options to use for the analysis job. PRESELECT reduces the number of log records that will ultimately be processed by the ANALYZE step to alleviate the out of space condition that arises when large IMS logs are analyzed.
