MADUNLD keyword for the ANALYZE control statement

You can use the MADUNLD keyword on the ANALYZE control statement to explicitly identify a Message Advisor unload or extract file to use as input to the analysis process.

MADUNLD and the following keywords are mutually exclusive. If you specify MADUNLD, you cannot specify any of these keywords:

  • IMSID (because IMSID applies only if Log Analyzer is reading RECON data sets to
determine which log data sets to process)
  • SLDS
  • MAXLOGS
  • IPRJRNL
  • IPRPREF
  • DB2LOG
  • DB2BSDS
  • MQEXT
  • RECON
  • ActiveOLDS

Warning

Note

If you specify more than one MADUNLD keyword, you cannot specify the following items:

  • LIMIT keyword
  • SKIP keyword

The following conditions apply:

  • Log sequence is not available for Message Advisor unload or extract file records. Therefore you cannot specify logSequenceNumber on the START, and STOP keywords in the INTERVAL control statement.
  • The timestamp value is taken from the '8A' system extension segment, and if the value is not applicable N/A is displayed in the DUMP report - The timestamp is not always valid because all the records might have the same timestamp. When an LUOW contains an invalid timestamp, the LUOWSUMM report displays blank values for the 1st rec date/time field and the Elapsed field.
  • The report will contain only 01 and 03 log records.

Shown below is an example use:

Note

If you want Log Analyzer to read multiple Message Advisor for IMS unload files or extract files, you can specify multiple instances of the MADUNLD keyword.
