Editing an MSC Physical Link element (not available for DBCTL)

To Edit an MSC Physical Link Element
- Go to the DELTA List Edit/Execute Entry panel.
- From the CM IMS TM Main Menu, type 1 in the selection field and press Enter.
The DELTA List Edit/Execute Entry panel is displayed. - Type 1 in the selection field, and take one of the following actions in the DELTA List field:-
- If you know the name of the DELTA List that you want to edit, type that name in the DELTA List field.
- If you prefer to select a DELTA List from those associated with a particular PDS member, either leave the field blank or type a masking pattern in it.
- In the DELTA List library field, type the data set name of the library in which the existing DELTA List resides.
In the View Profile field, type the name of a view profile or accept the default view profile.
This field may not display on the panel if the Global Options do not specify a view profile data set.
Press Enter. The result depends on what action you took in the DELTA LIST field:

Result
You typed the name of an existing DELTA List.
The DELTA List Edit panel is displayed, beginning a DELTA List Edit session for that DELTA List.
You left the field blank or typed a masking pattern.
The member selection list is displayed, allowing you to select a DELTA List for editing.
- (If the member selection list is displayed) Select a DELTA List to edit by typing / next to one of the listed CM IMS TM PDS member names, and press Enter.
The DELTA List Edit panel is displayed. Type S in the Actn field next to the element that you want to edit, and press Enter.

Valid values are as follows:
- Add
- Revise
- Delete
Execution options
Options that you want to associate with the element change
For example, on a Revise DELTA action, it is advisable to stop the element before executing the Revise action for the element, and then start the element again after the change is complete.
Limit to IMSID
The IMSID of the target IMS system where the DELTA List changes are to be executed if the changes are to be executed on only one IMS system
Name of MSC physical link
The MSC physical link on which you are performing an action
The name must start with an alphabetic character (A-Z, #, $, or @) followed by 0 to 7 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, #, $, or @).
New name
The new name of an existing element that you want to rename
Physical link type
The type of physical link being defined: CTC, MTM, TCPIP, or VTAM
To view a selection list of values for this field, advance the cursor to the prompt field and press F4, or use the PROMPT command.
I/O buffer size
The input and output buffer size for the logical links assigned to this physical link
Valid values are numeric values from 1024 to 65536.
IMS Connect physical link id
The name used by IMS Connect to identify this physical link
This name must match the name in the MSC LCLPLKID parameter in the IMS Connect configuration (PROCLIB member HWSCFGxx). The name must start with an alphabetic character (A-Z, #, $, or @) followed by 0 to 7 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, #, $, or @).
IMSplex IMS Connect name
The IMSPLEX name of the local IMS Connect instance that manages TCP/IP communications for this physical link
This name must match the name in the MSC MEMBER parameter in the IMS Connect configuration (PROCLIB member HWSCFGxx). The name must start with an alphabetic character (A-Z, #, $, or @) followed by 0 to 7 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, #, $, or @).
Remote IMSID
The IMSID of the remote IMS system to which this physical link connects
The IMSID name is 1 to 8 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, #, $, or @).
Automatic restart priority
The automatic restart priority of the physical link after an XRF takeover
A numeric value from 1 to 7 specifies the priority for re-establishing the session. A value of NO suppresses automatic restart.
Max parallel sessions
The number of parallel sessions that can be active for this physical link
Valid values are numeric values from 1 to 1018.
Automatic session restart
The Automatic Session Restart option for links that are supported by the VTAM session outage notification facility
Valid values are ON and OFF.

VTAM logon mode table
The VTAM logon mode table name that contains the SNA bind information to be used when a session is established
VTAM node name
The remote VTAM node name of the remote IMS system at the other end of the link
The name is 1 to 8 alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9, #, $, or @).
Channel-to-channel adapter address
The address of the channel-to-channel adapter
Valid values are 3 to 4 hexadecimal values between 100 and FFFF.
