Using the Rollback Options panel
Use the Rollback feature to return an AR/CTL managed participant in the environment to the latest checkpoint.
The AR/CTL ROLLBACK processing options define the participants for the rollback. These participants can be:
- Db2 resources
- ASAM and QSAM resources
- AR/CTL managed application program user areas
- AR/CTL managed subprogram virtual storage areas
The application program requests the AR/CTL rollback services in either of these scenarios:
- The application cannot continue processing in the current unit of work (UOW).
- The work performed in the current partially complete UOW has to be rolled back to the latest checkpoint.
Rollback options allow you to control whether AR/CTL automatically triggers a rollback for a job step.
This section describes the processing options on the Rollback Options panel.
