Setting data set option values
After you select the type of data set option member or an existing data set option member as explained in previous sections, AR/CTL displays the type Data Set Options panel, where type is Sequential, Local VSAM, Remote VSAM, or ASAM.
Each panel contains fields for option values that apply to the type of data set you selected. If the panel does not contain a particular field, the information does not apply to the data set type, or AR/CTL can determine automatically which value to use.
To set data set option values
- Type values in the option fields.
Use one of the following commands:
- To create or change the member and return to the List Members panel, enter the END command.
- To cancel (lose) any changes you have made since the last END command and return to the List Members panel, enter the CAN command.
