Specifies whether to allow Application Director to dynamically allocate an IEFRDER data set when resuming a suspended BMP, DLI, or DBB batch job.

Y- Application Director enabled job dynamically:

  • Allocates a dummy IEFRDER data set if IEFRDER is not specified in the execution JCL
  • Reallocates the IEFRDER data set to the next generation of the IEFRDER GDG data set specified in the execution JCL when resuming a suspended job
  • Reallocates the IEFRDER data set to a dummy data set if the original IEFRDER data set, specified using the execution JCL and not a GDG

N-Specifies that an IEFRDER data set is not allocated. If you specify N, Application Director cannot suspend the jobs.

If you want to override this customization parameter after customization is complete, see the topic Override-the-value-for-the-allow-dynamic-IEFRDER-customization-parameter.
