BMC AMI Recover installation options
When the Installation System-generated customization job is submitted, it links the AFR$OPTS installation options module in the APF-authorized library that is designated by your site. If any values for these options are changed during customization, the new values override the values from the options macro.
You can customize the installation of BMC AMI Recover by changing the values for the BMC AMI Recover installation options. However, if you change any of the values in $C30DOPT after BMC AMI Recover has been installed, you must rerun the jobs for these changes to take effect.
You can also create additional options modules that allow you to use different values of these options for different executions of BMC AMI Recover. For example, you might use the default installation options module for most jobs but create another options module with customized values for certain options for special situations. For information about specifying an options module at runtime, see Checkpoint override parameter (checkPt). For more information about customizing your installation of BMC AMI Recover, see the Installation System and the Customizing Backup and Recovery.

AUTO | Specifies the backout recovery option
AFRvvr | BMC AMI Recover bind qualifier (for example, AFR111)
None | SYSADM authid for binds If BMCSYSADM is not set, BMC AMI Recover will default to Install Sysadm.
0 | The interval between checkpoints in minutes
PHASE | Checkpoint for restart
200 | The rate at which a CPU can execute instructions in millions of instructions per second (MIPS)
None | SMS data class | |

NO | Specifies if DEFINE NO objects should be instantiated
1200 | Specifies the wait time in seconds before performing the action specified in LONGLOG
100 | Number of megabytes per second that BMC AMI Recover can read from disk
DRNWAIT*DRNRETRY | Specifies the minimum number of seconds between drain attempts.
1 | Specifies the number of drain retry attempts.
0 | Specifies the number of seconds to wait during drain. If you do not specify any value or you specify 0, it uses the value of the lock timeout subsystem parameter IRLMRWT.
None | Enables extended attributes to allocate an extended format sequential data set (supported by IBM z/OS Version 1.11 or later)
10 | Maximum number of times to continue processing after encountering a severe error

YES | Specifies whether BMC AMI Recover should update the BMCHIST table
NO | Specifies RECOVER INDEX behavior
NO | Puts indexes in RECP status if TS PIT recovery
None | Specifies the name of the key data set that is used for encrypted copies
YES | Specifies whether key sorts should be shared, which determines the number of active key sorts (with MAXKSORT)

0 | Specifies the maximum number of tape drives to be used
min((2 * the number of CPUs), 12) | Specifies the maximum number of index key sorts that can run concurrently
5 | Specifies the maximum number of logs to allocate
0 | Specifies the maximum number of log sorts that can run concurrently and determines the number of MERGE/RESTORE/SNAP phases that can run in parallel, regardless of whether log records are processed
