After a point-in-time recovery, you should not make an incremental copy with READTYPE RANDOM or READTYPE AUTO if you used RESETMOD NO to make any copies that were involved in the recovery.

BMC AMI Copydetects this situation and will use READTYPE FULLSCAN for the new copy if you are using RESETMOD NO. 

BMC AMI Copywill also use READTYPE FULLSCAN for the copy if there is only a full copy before the point-in-time recovery. If RESETMOD YES is used, BMC AMI Copy escalates to a full copy following the rules shown in Escalating incremental copies to full copies.
