With BMC Runtime Insights, you can gain actionable visibility into how the following BMC products are used across your Db2 subsystems, helping you manage performance, resources, and compliance more effectively:

  • BMC AMI Check for Db2
  • BMC AMI Copy for Db2
  • BMC AMI Load for Db2
  • BMC AMI Recover for Db2
  • BMC AMI Reorg for Db2
  • BMC AMI Stats for Db2
  • BMC AMI Unload for Db2
  • CHECK PLUS for DB2
  • LOADPLUS for DB2
  • REORG PLUS for DB2
  • UNLOAD PLUS for DB2

You can use BMC Runtime Insights to perform the following tasks:

  • Identify which subsystems are experiencing the highest utility activity to guide performance tuning and workload distribution
  • Visualize detailed usage patterns for specific subsystems to uncover inefficiencies or trends
  • Track the most frequently used product keywords to understand operational behavior and optimize product execution
  • Trace product-keyword pairs back to the jobs that used them, enabling faster troubleshooting and smarter job scheduling
  • Support audit and compliance efforts with transparent, job-level insights into data operations

Using the BMC Runtime Insights view, you can view a summary of the BMC products that ran in a Db2 subsystem for one of the following predefined time frames:

  • Yesterday
  • 7 days
  • 30 days
  • 90 days

Each time frame ends at 23:59:59 of the day before the current date. So Yesterday is defined as the 24-hour period starting at 00:00:00 and ending at 23:59:59 of the day before the current date.

Similarly, if today is August 25, 2025, then Yesterday starts at 2025-08-24 00:00:00 and ends at 2025-08-24 23:59:59.

From the BMC Runtime Insights Summary view, you can drill down to more specific details about the product usage for a Db2 connection.
