Saving a workspace

Saving a workspace enables you to close a workspace or log out from

BMC AMI Command Center

and return later to use the same defined definitions. If you do not save the workspace, any changes or additions that you made will be unavailable next time you log on to the console.

Warning

Note

All unsaved workspaces are indicated by an asterisk beside the workspace name. In the Classic console, the Workspace icon is displayed as a new workspace workspace-new-24.png or an edited workspace workspace-edit-24.png .

To save a workspace

New console
  1. Select a workspace.
  2. Select one of the following options:
    • Save a Workspace NW_floppy_orange.png
    • Save All Workspaces NW_save_all_o.png
    • Create Template NW_file_template_o_teal.png to save the workspace as a template that others can find and copy (as explained in Creating-a-template)

This option does not save the workspace itself. If you have not saved changes to the workspace, the asterisk beside the workspace name remains.

Classic console
