Viewing near-term historical data from current trace data sets


Use this procedure to view near-term historical data from the current trace data sets and archived trace data sets to view data online.

To view near-term historical data from current trace data sets

  1. On the Apptune Main Menu, select SQL Workload and press Enter.The SQL Workload Analysis Menu is displayed.

  2. Select Time interval and press Enter.The Select Analysis Interval report is displayed. This report lists time intervals for all Db2s in the current trace data sets. You can select a single interval or a range of intervals.

  3. Type S beside a single interval or beside the first and last intervals in the range, and press Enter. Press F3 when you finish selecting intervals.If you want to report on multiple intervals, you should check the filtering criteria for all intervals. If you view data from multiple intervals that used different filters, the data might not be meaningful.
  4. Type F over the + (plus sign) beside the interval, and press Enter.The Associated Filter Criteria report is displayed. Use the filtering criteria to select the intervals for your reporting session and to determine which reports are relevant to the data collected. (For example, exception reports are relevant only if exception data was collected.)

  5. Press F3 until you return to the SQL Workload Analysis menu.
  6. Select Data Source, Db2(s) and press Enter.The Data Source panel is displayed. Use this panel to specify the source of records and the Db2 subsystems for reporting.

  7. In the Data source field, type S.
  8. In the Db2 SSID list field, specify the subsystem IDs of the Db2 subsystems that you want to examine. You can specify up to 32 Db2s or you can enter an * (asterisk) in the first field to select all Db2 subsystems in the data set.
  9. Press F3 until you return to the SQL Workload Analysis Menu.From this menu, you can continue your reporting session.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
