User response: The GME connection can be restarted with BBI command: .E PARM,AAOGMExx,RESYNC However, before attempting the RESYNC you should check to see if the condition that caused the error still exists. The number of ALERTs that must be re-synced may result in an immediate termination of the connection upon a RESYNC. In this case the number of ALERTS will have to be reduced before a successful RESYNC will occur.
