Obtaining the Installation System image by using a web browser
Use the following procedure to obtain the Installation System image by using a web browser:
- Using a web browser, go to one of the following URLs depending on the transfer protocol you want to use:
- ftp://epddownload.bmc.com/
- ftp://filedownload.bmc.com/ (if you require a static IP address)
- http://filedownload.bmc.com/ (if you require a static IP address)
- https://filedownload.bmc.com/ (if you require a static IP address)
- When prompted, provide the BMC file server user ID and password (see File-server-and-certificate-information). If prompted for support credentials, provide a valid support user ID and password. To register for a support user ID and password, go to http://www.bmc.com/support.
- Navigate to bmc > esd > ozi.
Download the most recent version of the Installation System image file (bmcozi-vvrmm-image.bin) and the decompression job (inst_dcmp_sample_jcl.txt).

You can copy the decompression job from Sample-JCL. If prompted, provide a valid support user ID and password. To register for a support user ID and password, go to http://www.bmc.com/support.
- Copy the downloaded files to your mainframe by using the transfer program of your choice.
The following guidelines apply:- The transfer must be binary.
- The data sets on the mainframe must be a fixed block 80 sequential file.
- The block size must be 6160.
- The primary allocation must be set to 27 cylinders, and the secondary allocation must be set to 2 cylinders.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
