Decompressing the Installation System image

Use the following procedure to decompress the Installation System image:

  1. After successfully obtaining the Installation System image and decompression job, edit the decompression JCL data set (<INSTDCMPDatasetName>) according to the instructions in the job.

    Important

    The decompression JCL contains a job within a job that is submitted to the internal reader.

  2. Submit the edited JCL to decompress the Installation System image.Decompressing the Installation System image creates the following installation libraries:
    • HLQ.BMC.INSTALL
    • HLQ.BMC.INSTALL.LOAD
    • HLQ.BMC.POZBOOT
  3. Continue to Starting-the-Installation-System.
