Installing and configuring the UIM server

Use the following information to install and configure the UIM server.

Before you begin

Review the UIM server requirements atUIM server and console requirements.

To install and configure the UIM server

1. Start the Installation System as instructed inStarting an installation.

2. Select a product that uses the UIM.

3. Generate the installation jobs as instructed inGenerating installation jobs.
   
   

   Warning

   Note

   The UIM server libraries are installed during the installation process if:

   • You installed any console-enabled products.
   • A console-enabled feature (such as the DBA Toolkit) is included with a product that you installed.

4. Generate the configuration jobs for the infrastructure components as instructed inGenerating configuration jobs.

5. Run the generated jobs as instructed inRunning the generated jobs.
