Managing USS home directory configuration and heap dump capture in BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Java Environments

This section provides a step-by-step procedure to manage Java heap dumps in BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Java Environments for the following actions:

  • Capturing Java heap dumps from the BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Java Environments JVM (MJEJVM) component
  • Redirecting dump output to a custom directory for MJEJVM
  • Configuring the USS home directory for the PAS user ID

You can use this procedure to troubleshoot memory-related issues or to control where dumps are written in your z/OS UNIX environment.
