Suspend activity library

The Suspend activity library halts processing and any associated deployment, and emails a notification of the suspension to the specified users. To configure the email template and the target email distribution list in the Send Suspend Notice task, use the following configuration options:

Description

Notification Template Name

Name of the notification template to use for this email. This template should contain the ${VL_LINK_TASK_ATTENTION} or ${VL_LINK_TASK_ATTENTION_HTML} tokens to provide a link to restart the process. For more information about creating the email template, see the Creating-notifications topic. 

Destination Email Address

One or more names or email addresses of system users who should receive the notification email.

Notes:

  • When the user email domain matches the default domain name that is defined in the System Settings, you can specify only the part of the email that precedes the @ symbol.
    For example, if the Default Domain value is company.com, you might use john.smith instead of john.smith@company.com.
  • When the email_address in the user details is set to the valid email address, you can use a username that the BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation automatically translates into the email.

For users with a non-English local language, notifications might be sent using their local language, if the necessary localized templates exist.
