Viewing deployment results

Deployment results contain information about every deployment in the system. The available views include high-level results, detailing the overall status of deployments all the way through, or information about specific interactions for any part of a deployment.

To view deployment summary results

  1. Click the Deploy tab.
  2. From the left menu, select Results.
The system displays the list of deployments, identifying who initiated the deployment, the route, the environment, whether the action was to deploy or remove, and the present state of the deployment. You can select from the available actions to take on the deployment.

    Note

You can promote the deployment to the next environment available (for the instance). To do this, for one of the instances, click the Actions menu actions menu icon.jpgon the far right, click the Promote link. You can use the same deployment configuration or change it as per your needs and then click Deploy. But this option is not available if the instance is in the cancelled state.

To view specific deployment process details

  1. On the Deploy > Results page, in the Started column, click the Day/Date/Time link for a deployment record to view its specific deployment results.
The deployment results view has the following sections:
    • Summary: High-level description of the deployment and its state. The section also provides actions that you can take.
    • Processes: High-level summary of all processes related to the deployment. Click Show Full Log on the far right to display a complete log of the processes.
    • Properties: Listing of the name/value property pairs used during this deployment.

      Note

Each stage of a deployment can add more processes to the deployment. So, if a deployment is not complete, you might not see all the processes that will eventually be associated with the deployment. Each deployment process contains important information, as well as providing actions that you can take.

  2. On the Actions menu on the far right click the View link (associated with a process). The view presented by the system provides the following sections:
