Summary

BMC Remote System Call Daemon (RSCD) agent support is included.

A single installation program installs both the BMC Release Process Management and BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation products.

  • Support for installing the BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite 4.3.00. You can use the installer provided with the BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite to install the following two component products (together or individually):
    • BMC Release Process Management 2.6.00
    • BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation 4.3.00
  • Support for installing BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite 4.3.00 without the need of Administrator privileges on Windows or root privileges on Linux.
  • Support for multiple installations of the BMC Release Lifecycle Management Suite 4.3.00 on the same computer.

BMC Release Process Management and BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation coordinate with each other through the existing web service API and automation scripts, available in BMC Release Process Management. With this integration you can perform the following functions in BMC Varalogix Q Deployment Automation by using BMC Release Process Management:

  • You can deploy package or repository instances in BMC Varalogix Q Deployment Automation by using default automation scripts.
  • You can browse BMC Varalogix Q Deployment Automation for packages, repositories, environments, routes, and properties from BMC Release Process Management.
  • You can view BMC Varalogix Q Deployment Automation logs in BMC Release Process Management.
  • You can change property values in BMC Varalogix Q Deployment Automation by using the BMC Release Process Management user interface.

BMC Middleware Automation support has been enhanced to enable BMC Middleware Automation Install and Preview operations.
You can integrate version 4.3.00 of BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation with version 8.2.03 Patch 3 and later of BMC Middleware Automation. With this integration, you can perform various functions in BMC Middleware Automation by using the BMC VaraLogix Q Deployment Automation user interface. This can be done with the help of actions. You can use the default (out of the box) actions and create new actions to perform one of the following operations in BMC Middleware Automation:

  • Install a Configuration
  • Preview a Configuration installation
