Setting or changing user preferences


Options and settings for individual users and the system are specified with preferences:

  • Most preferences work only if they are applied to the _system user. These are called system preferences.
  • A few preferences can be applied to ordinary users.

To change the preferences assigned to a user

  1. Click the System tab.
  2. From the left menu, select Users.
  3. From the displayed list of existing users, select a user.
  4. Change the assigned preferences:
    • To remove a preference, click Delete in the associated Actions menu on the right.
    • To edit a preference, click the highlighted Value that you want to change, make the change, and click the Submit checkmark icon.

To add a new preference for a user

  1. From the Users list on the System tab, select the user to edit.
  2. Click New Setting and enter the preference details.
  3. Click the Submit checkmark icon.

Note

After adding a new preference or editing the existing one, for the change to take place you must log out of the application and then log into it.
