Types of access restrictions
The access restrictions under Main Tabs determine a user's ability to view one or more of the console tabs after logon. When selected, that tab is visible to the user. To select or clear all restrictions in this section, click Toggle All. To allow the user access to only certain tabs, select the restrictions for those tabs and clear all restrictions for tabs that the user should not see. The restrictions in this section are:
- Define Tab Visible
- Deploy Tab Visible
- Schedule Tab Visible
- Report Tab Visible
- Topology Tab Visible
- Config Tab Visible
A more granular method of access management is available on the level of system objects. For example, you can limit the visibility of the particular server to make it visible only for users with a particular role assigned. See the following topics for more information about procedures for restricting the access on the object level:
- Enabling role-based access permissions for a channel template
- Enabling role-based access permissions for an environment
- Enabling role-based access permissions for an instance
- Enabling role-based access permissions for a package
- Enabling role-based access permissions for a package group
- Enabling role-based access permissions for a repository
